The musickal observations presented in this upcoming blog post are written as a companion to Jake Kotze’s written works at the
TRICKY TIMES Blog. If you begin at his earliest posts and move forward, you can oscillate between our two blogs and follow the progression of ideas. I do this to save time, because Jake’s images are interesting to look at and connect well with the esoteric musickal ideas I am putting forth. Please see Jake’s other websites for additional insight into these symbol webs.

Freemasonic tradition orients itself to the East rather than the North. This is due to the presence of the rising sun in the East and their infatuation with Light. Given the solar nature of the circle of fifths model and the presence of the same letter E in the diatonic scale, I present you with the circle of fifths in an unusual pose, where the E note is placed at the northern pole. The Key of C Major typically occupies this point. I do not attempt to draw any further speculative connections for the time being.

There are two aspects of the bee symbol that are of interest to me.
This website provides some insight into the value of bees as symbols in speculative Freemasonry as does
Manly P. Hall’s Secret Teachings of All Ages…
The hexagonal properties of the honey comb resonate with whole tone scale of a C-Hexagon (as pictured), whose 6th note is B flat. When we orient our circle of fifths to the East as per Masonic guidelines, we also find the B-Flat note at the clock position of 6.
I am also interested by the buzzing sounds that they make. Given the long history of bees in mythology and ritual ceremony, I would not bee surprised if the construction of certain sacred temples were tuned sympathetically to the acoustic resonance of a certain variety of bee species. Additionally, I would like to better understand the magical properties of the bee hum buzz “BZZZZZZ” which for some reason is a passive but prominent theme in our culture.

For some further synchromystic fun regarding Bees, I recommend Steve Willner’s bee video located

The bizarre Rites and Rituals of the Bohemian Club.. The Bush family attends thus we have skull and bones 322/7 resonance embodied in the Molech rituals and prerecorded shriek-tracks. Alphabetically, I take BC as reference to the final step of the diatonic C major scale - from B to C - as in CDEFGA(BC). If we allow each note to take on some temporary alchemical meaning with C lined up at the Corpus (Cuboid plug) then the intermediary process between B and C would be correlated to Lapidem, which means STONE in latin. Molech is a stone owl, thus completing the sync circle.

The step from B to C also calls to mind the words “Before Christ”, where Middle C is associated with the “Light of Christ” and the B note is literally the predecessor, so the word (B)efore is musickally appropriate. Since I have already demonstrated the possibility of melodic interpretation via B-E-E and B-C, the picture above puts BFC together as a Chord..
Not a consonant sonority, but the technique of alphanumeric/musickal conversion is valid. Whenever a string of letter and number is available, we may potentially spell out rhythmless melodies or single chords. That is the crux of what I’m doing here.
B-F is a dissonant Diminished Fifth. F to C, ascends as a perfect fifth and descends as a perfect fourth. It doesn’t sound very good and I don’t derive much meaning from this, so I won’t hold on to this connection. The process of allowing phonetic pronunciations to take on the meaning of numbers and letters is of some value, though.

The (C)remation of (C)are ritual adds two additional resonances to the letter C in melodic duplicity. What I’m trying to illustrate here is the opportunity to give a simple melodic idea some esoteric meaning. Those of you familiar with
Alan Watt’s Cutting Through the Matrix may recall an episode where he claimed that Beethoven was hiding Freemasonic messages at the beginning of his fifth symphony. Why not go a step further and unfold musickal meaning in all Western music?

The formal study of Music Composition is an active, intentional creation of conflict (disruption of silence) for the sake of studying how the polarities might come to resolution. One can not divorce the reality tunnel of a composer from their music because it is a direct expression of their Highest Self. Some contemporary composers seek to generate maximum tension and leave it unresolved - John Cage famously sat down at a piano and performed four minutes and thirty three seconds of No-thing. Noise and silence are perhaps the ultimate thesis and antithesis of music.
